Bart co-founded A123 Systems, the first battery technology company to take a novel chemistry (LFP) from the lab to industrial scale. After leaving A123 in 2012, he joined QuantumScape as Chief Strategy Officer where he led their pivot away from quantum dot technology towards developing a solid-state battery. In 2020 Bart co-founded Conamix, a battery technology company developing a lithium-sulfur battery and a Catalus portfolio company.
